The Silk Road Camel Caravan

Day 1 Welcoming day
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar the capital city of Mongolia. Transfer to your hotel. Evening enjoy traditional art performance and Welcome dinner. Stay overnight in the hotel. D


Day 2 Travel to Khognokhan mountain & Camel riding
Travel to Khognokhan mountain Nature reserve for 280kms. Afternoon upon arrival in the area, our local camel man, specialist guide and trail finder will welcome and greet us. You will be invited to his Ger to taste nomadic drinks and dairy products. Followed by brief instruction for riding Mongolian two humped Bactrian camel you will get acquainted with the camels and tacks. Then our warm up ride will start to sand dunes. You will enjoy amazing formations and landscape on the way, while riding through sand dunes until reaching our camping spot. This day ride covers around 2-3hours.  Stay overnight in tent. BLD

Day 3 - 4 Experiencing Camel caravan
These days we will travel with the Camel caravan and trekking. All equipment and our luggage will be packed on the camels and travel through the Silk Road across the sand dunes to nomad community. Along the way, we will pass beautiful sand dunes and mountain, as well as we have many chances to encounter camel herders, local nomads and wildlife. You will enjoy camel back riding for whole caravan journey. Late afternoon arrival in the scenic valley where nomad people live. Rest time. Stay overnights in tent and community based Ger camp. BLD

Day 5 Learn nomadic technology
Start your morning with nomadic breakfast. You will experience with nomadic life and culture as being friend of family members. The hostess will show and teach you how to produce tasty and nutritious dairy products including "aaruul" dried curds, "byaslag" Mongolian cheese. You can involve in the process and get more familiar with their nature loved unique lifestyle. Walking around area 2-3hours. Stay overnight in community based Ger camp. BLD

Day 6 Travel to Ulaanbaatar &
Travel to Ulaanbaatar for 280kms. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your hotel. Shopping. Farewell dinner. Stay overnight in the hotel. BLD

Transfer to airport for departure. B
