Peru, Colombia - Highlands & Caribbean

Day 1  Lima 
Arrival at the airport in Lima. 

Day 2  Lima - Cusco - Yucay   
Flight to Cusco and transfer to the Sacred Valley. On the way visit of the Cochahuasi Wasi sanctuary to see Pumas, Condors and Aras and the authentic market “Mercado de Urubamba”, where rural people sell and barter agricultural products as well as animals. Lunch in a typical restaurant.  

Day 3  Yucay  
Morning at leisure. Optional excursions like visiting the         traditional Pisac Market, Rafting on the Urubamba river, Biking tour in the Sacred Valley or Hiking from Ollantaytambo to Cachicata. In the afternoon visit of the ruins of Ollantaytambo. 

Day 4  Yucay - Machu Picchu - Cusco   
Full day excursion to Machu Picchu. Once arrived by Vistadome train guests visit the Incan site of Machu Picchu including a guided walk. In the afternoon return by bus and train to Cusco. 

Day 5  Cusco  
Half day city tour including the ruins around Cusco, like Sacsayhuaman. 

Day 6  Cusco - Puno  
Panoramic drive to Puno (Seat-in). En route visit the town of Andahuaylillas, the ruins of Racchi and the small town of Pucara. Lunch included. 

Day 7  Puno - Lima   
Full day boat excursion on Lake Titicaca to visit the floating Islands of the Uros Indians and Taquile Island. Lunch included. Flight from Juliaca to Lima and transfer to the hotel. 

Day 8  Lima   
City tour to visit the San Francisco Convent and to explore the Larco Herrera Museum, which houses the world’s largest     private collection of Peruvian pre-Columbian Art. 

Day 9  Lima - Bogotá   
Flight to Bogotá in Colombia. 

Day 10 Bogotá   
In the morning city tour to observe the colonial centre of the city, where guests visit the Gold Museum and the Fernando Botero Museum. In the afternoon visit the salt cathedral of Zipaquirá, which has been completely built of salt. 

Day 11 Bogotá - Cartagena  
Flight to Cartagena. City tour including visit of the La Popa monastery and the San Pedro Claver convent, photo stop at fortress San Felipe and walking tour through the wonderful colonial city centre. 

Day 12 Cartagena   
Day at leisure for visits to the colonial city or the beaches. 

Day 13 Cartagena  
End of the roundtrip and departure flight or post-tour.
