Harrison Cave
Get ready for one of the best days as you take in some of the most exquisite and unknown wonders of Barbados.

The day begins with a guided tour of Harrison's Crystal Cave in the parish of St. Thomas. A unique phenomenon of nature, Harrison's Cave is an amazing gallery of stalactites hanging from the roof of the cave, and stalagmites that emerge from the ground, with streams of crystal-clear running water that drop from breathtaking waterfalls to form deep emerald pools. The stalactites and stalagmites were formed over thousands of years and in some places the stalactites have reached down to the stalagmites and a spectacular pillar has been formed. The Caves facility has recently been expanded to include an interactive observation area, glass walled elevators to assist one’s descent to the main Cave entrance, a restaurant and gift shop. A short and informative movie on the history of the Caves is shown at the start of each tour before the trams descend for an unforgettable subterranean journey.

Then it's on to Hunte’s Gardens. Created by a legendary horticulturist with an unusual flair, Anthony Hunte, these extraordinary gardens will please even the most keen gardeners and enthusiasts.  Their placement is really most unusual - in the centre of Barbados' rain forest, in a sink-hole-like gully. Thanks to such an interesting location, the garden offers a multidimensional experience, with vigorous plants densely growing on many levels - from sunny and open spaces, down to a mysterious, dark heart of a real Caribbean jungle.

A picturesque and easy-to-walk path offers many surprises, thanks to the superbly created series of mini-gardens embedded within the main large unit, combining vibrant colors and textures of rare exotic plants to offer the visitor a most uplifting and fulfilling experience. The owner and creator of this beauty, Anthony Hunte, is the heart and soul of this place. You may meet him in the garden or around his extraordinary house (actually converted from an old stable, would you believe it!), and you can be sure to be welcomed with fascinating and colorful stories.

Leaving the gardens behind we travel towards the east marveling as its rugged coastline unfolds before you. Enjoy the scenic views of Bathsheba - the Mecca for surfers – you are sure to see some out in the ocean – and local and international tournaments are held here.  This will truly be a day of adventure and exploration as your driver/guide will keep you informed with a little history, a little folklore and a little culture as you visit each and every site along the way!

Passing St. John’s Parish Church, we make our final stop at Sunbury Plantation House for a mouth-watering lunch at one of the islands’ beautiful plantation houses. A chance to view the historic Sunbury Plantation House should not be missed. Originally dating back to the 1600's and known as "Chapman’s", after the name of the first planter families of the Island, Sunbury was tragically destroyed by fire in 1994. Today, Sunbury has been fully restored, with all of its rooms open for viewing, displaying the grand style of life on a successful sugar plantation boasting some of the finest Barbados Mahogany antiques, and original prints on the Island.

On this day we guarantee to show you some of the most exquisite, known and unknown wonders of Barbados!

A Scenic Island Tour
Drink in the beauty that Barbados has to offer as, from the Bridgetown Port you travel west to the island’s “platinum” coast along the sheltered Caribbean Sea, where 5* hotels and villas nestle side by side with Bajan chattel houses.   Historic Speightstown, affectionately called “Little Bristol”, will show off its colonial heritage and blend of modern day hustle and bustle before giving way to “Old Barbados” and the quaint fishing village of Shermans, a vestige of old Barbados.

A drive through the country will bring you to St Nicholas Abbey, a Jacobean Mansion built in 1650, before ascending Cherry Tree Hill (believe it nor not, actually lined with towering mahogany trees!).  The panoramic view from the crest of Cherry Tree Hill offers a panoramic view of the “Scotland District” and the rugged East Coast - a great photo opportunity.

The meandering drive down Cherry Tree Hill takes you past Morgan Lewis Mill, originally built circa 1776 and carefully restored, down to the breathtaking rugged beauty of Cattlewash and Bathsheba – home to surfers and to both local and international competitions. Then it’s on to St John’s Church, which offers a sweeping view of the East Coast from its high cliff side vantage point before heading across the rolling countryside returning to the Bridgetown Port.

Deep Sea Fishing
There is nothing like hooking a Blue Marlin and landing it! Perhaps you might hook a Wahoo (locally called a King Fish) or a Barracuda. Barbados is a coral Island and the fish are closer to the shore line, so you might hook your prize very soon after leaving the dock. Why not try it!? In groups of 6 guests per fishing vessel, any day of the week, the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea awaits …
