Day 1   Bogotá 
Individual arrival at Bogotá. Welcome by our local English speaking guide and transfer to the hotel. 

Day 2  Bogotá 
On a half day city tour you will visit the folcloric market place of Paloquemao, the famous Gold Museum and the Botero Museum. Concluding you will go by cable car on top of the Monserrate hill with a great view of Bogotá. 

Day 3  National Park Chingaza  
Excursion to the Chingaza National Park. Inside the park you will have different stops, where your guide will explain all interesting aspects of the park. The Chingaza National Park is located in the eastern Cordilleras of the Andes and houses around 40 natural glaciar lakes. The biggest lake is Lago Chingaza on an altitude of 3250m above sea level. Transfer back to Bogotá. 

Day 4  Fusagasuga 
Transfer to Fusagasuga, around 1 ½ hours away from Bogotá. You will visit a bremelain breeding farm founded by Franz Gruber. The farm owns over 400 different Hebrides of bremelain. On a circuit across the farm you will learn about the cultivation and breeding of bremelains. Afterwards you are invited on a coffee farm. Lern all about coffee, from planting to rosting! Besides coffee they produce as well a delicious coffee liqueur. Transfer back to Bogotá. 

Day 5  Bogotá – Tatacoa desert – San Agustin 
Early transfer to the airport. Flight from Bogotá to Neiva. Welcome by our local guide and transfer to the desert.  After a short trekking tour you will drive along the Magdalena river to San Agustin. On the way you will have several stops to enjoy the panoramic views. 

Day 6  San Agustin 
Visit the archeological park, UNESCO Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 1995. The park disposes of 500 imposing stone statues from the pre-Hispanic cultures that inhabited this region for over fifteen centuries, the Lavapatas fountain, a complex maze of canals and pools carved in the bedrock of the stream and the archeological museum. Transfer to Isnos und visit the archeological park Alto de los Idolos. Overnight at the hotel. 

Day 7  San Agustin – Cartagena 
Transfer to the airport of Neiva and flight via Bogotá to Cartagena, the most beautiful colonial city on the        Caribbean coast. Remaining day at leisure for a first    exploration of the city and its charming historic center. 

Day 8  Cartagena  
Today you will steep into the history of Cartagena. Visit the Convent of La Popa, have a photo-stop at the Fort San Felipe and walk through the colourful streets and attend the convent of San Pedro Claver. You will be transferred to the fishing village La Boquilla, 1 1/2 hours away from Cartagena. A local fisher will move with you in little Dugout-canoes through the mangroves. In the afternoon return to Cartagena. 

Day 9  Cartagena 
Day at leisure for own activities. Optional: Full day excursion to the Rosario Islands. The archipel of coral reefs and crystal clear water lies 45km south-west off shore (2h boat-ride).  

Day 10 Cartagena 
Transfer to the airport and homebound flight or     individual extension program in Cartagena.
