Day 01                                                                                             Salvador da Bahia - Lençóis

Transfer from your hotel in Salvador to the bus terminal. Travel by regular bus in the early morning to the Chapada Diamantina, Brazil’s largest nature park. After around 6 hours you will arrive in the city of Lençóis, which is well known as the “diamond city”. Arrival in the early afternoon and transfer from Lençóis bus terminal to your hotel with guide assistance.

Day 02                                                                                                                              Lençóis

• Full day tour Mucugezinho and Poco de Diablo (Seat-in basis) (9 hs)

A full day excursion to Mucugezinho and the Devil’s Pool is on the programme today. Pick up at your hotel at 8:30 a.m. by car, for a drive of 30 km. After a small trekking we arrive at the "Mucugezinho" and the “Devil’s Pool”, a large pool where you can swim. Further down is the Devil's throat. Return to the car and your next stop will be Pai Inácio Hill, where you will walk 20 minutes to the top. From here you have the best view of the Chapada Mountains as well as to the “Camel Hill”. After this we return to the car and drive another 50 km, including 1,5 km off-road street to the “Lapa Doce“ Cave. This cave is not in the National Park but on a private farm. The “Lapa Doce“ Cave is 800 m long, entering at one opening and exit by another. The stalagtites and stalagmites take millions of years to reach this form and size. After the visit of the cave “Lapa Doce“, we drive another 8 km to Pratinha and Blue cave. The blue color only appears when the sun hits and reflects on the stones.

You will arrive back in Lençóis at around 7 p.m.

Day 03                                                                                                                              Lençóis

• Full day tour Mucuge and Poco Encantado (Seat-in, this excursion can be optionally added!)

Full day Mucuge & Poço Encantado (duration approx. 9 hours)

Pick up at your hotel at 8:30 a.m. The first stop is after 150 km from Lençóis. Famous and well known in that area is the “Poço Encantado“, with a lake inside a cave with crystal clear blue water. The deepest part is 60 m. It is prohibited to swim in the pool, as the water is stationary. From June to 7^th of September the light from the sun enters, creating a blue shaft of light in the pool. Your next stop is in Mucuge, a small city in the middle of the Chapada, where you visit the “Cemiterio Bizantino“, built in the XIX century in Byzantine style (unique example in the American continent). After this you go to the “Projeto Sempre Viva“– it is doing serious work in the reproduction of native plants, specially some endangered species of sempre viva, and with the environmental education of eco-tourism. You cannot miss the Waterfall “Tiburtino“, where the river gives you a calm and fresh bath. If there is time enough, you stop in “Xique Xique de Igatu“, a ghost town 10 km from the city Andaraí. 15 thousand people lived there in the diamond era, now there are only the abandoned ruins and 300 people left.  You arrive back in Lençóis at around 7 p.m.

Day 04                                                                                           Lençóis – Salvador da Bahia

• Public bus without guide Lençóis - Salvador
• Transfer Salvador bus terminal - hotel

Transfer from your hotel in Lençóis to the city’s bus terminal to take the regular bus to Salvador.

Upon arrival in Salvador you will be transferred from the bus terminal to your hotel.
